If there is one word to sum up the weekend for the 5th grade Burgundy team, It’s OUTSTANDING. The boys played against 4 tough opponents. Winning 2 of their games by 20+. They won their semi final game 39-36 and the championship 41-29.

During the championship game the boys finished the game on a surreal/simply amazing 27-13 run, including a 21-0 run at one point! They trailed by 8-9 points late and the run changed the entire complexion of the game. 

Their defense was tenacious all weekend and they truly played together. We are so PROUD of the boys and all of their hard work/dedication to their craft. Our boys who lost last years state title game as 4th graders are headed back to Champaign!
